This group is called Macetitas, because it focuses on making clay pots. It is located in Mexico in the state of Puebla, very close to the border with the state of Morelos. The group consists of nine members.

Camila A. is a member of the group. She is 48 years old and only has a grade school education. She makes clay pots. She has dedicated herself to pottery for 15 years, as it is a family tradition. Her mom taught her the trade when she lost her job as a domestic servant. She lives with her mom and her brother. She asks for the loan to be able to buy raw materials to use to make pots. She sells the pots without kilning them, and as she has no vehicle to transport her product, she only sells to her neighbors. Her dream is to construct a room with plate to be able to store her pots as the rainy season is approaching.

The name of the members of the group and their job are:

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
