Señor Rómulo A. lives in is own home in Pasankeri located west of the city of La Paz. He lives there with his wife and 3 daughters. Señor Rómulo works in a steel construction company, and his wife works from home making rugs which she sells to retailers in the city.


They have currently built 5 rooms with loans that they've received from our institution and out of their own savings. They have finished two of the rooms in which they are currently occupying.


The loan they're requesting will be used towards finishing up the construction for the other 3 rooms.


This is the 6th time they have solicited a loan from IMPRO. They have been our customers since 1999. Their credit history makes them good candidates.

El señor Rómulo A. vive en casa propia en la zona de Pasankeri ladera oeste de la Ciudad de La Paz con su esposa y sus tres hijas; el señor Rómulo trabaja como constructor en una microempresa del rubro en nuestra ciudad y su esposa es artesana en su domicilio confeccionando alfombras que entrega a una microempresa de la ciudad de La Paz
Actualmente construyeron cinco habitaciones que son parte del proyecto de su vivienda y que fueron construidas con créditos en nuestra institución y ahorros propios, de los cuales están concluidas dos, las que están siendo ocupadas por la familia.
El crédito solicitado será destinado a la conclusión de la construcción en obra fina de las tres habitaciones restantes. Para vuestro conocimiento “Obra fina” significa el terminado completo de la habitación lista para vivir.
Esta es la sexta vez que solicita un préstamo de IMPRO; es cliente de nuestra institución desde el año 1999. El análisis socioeconómico realizado lo califica favorablemente y puede acceder a un nuevo crédito.

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
