Mrs. Chem S., age 35, raises ducks and sells the eggs, earning about $5 per day in revenue. Her husband works as a policeman, making about $1 per day. They have three children who are students. In order to expand her duck egg business to meet customer demand, she would like to borrow $750 to purchase more ducks to lay eggs. This will increase inventory and therefore increase income for her family. She will be better able to finance her children’s education with the increased income and provide her family with greater financial security.
