Christine is a 50-year-old lady married to a mechanic with a family of six children; they live in Masindi, Uganda. She says she pays the school fees for her children with a dream that they all will be educated up to university. She operates a bar in Masindi and has been in the business for six years, having started doing business with a retail shop. Her bar business has challenges just like any other business with bad debtors and the ever increasing cost of electricity in the country.
That said though, Christine still feels good about the business and hopes to make it into a big guest house one day. For now, with the help of the credit facility from HOFOKAM, Christine intends to buy beer, spirits, a digital television set, and a generator for her pub.
