Andrei is married with a 9-year-old daughter, called Angelina. He is a farming businessman from Dneprovka, south-eastern Ukraine. Andrei sells polyethylene film, seeds and other agricultural supplies in one of the local markets called “Stroika”. He is the only entrepreneur who offers polyethylene film for farmers in his town, which gives his business a boost every spring when greenhouse keepers come to him for supplies.
Andrei has been in this business for 6 years. He has 80,000 Grivnyas worth of inventory and his income amounts to around 10,000 Grivnyas per month. Andrei is requesting a loan of 20,000 Grivnyas to purchase a variety of seeds and additional polyethylene film for further retail sale in his home town. He is hoping to save some of his profits and possibly buy a vehicle for his business in the future. It should also be mentioned that Andrei is an experienced farmer. He grows tomatoes on his plot of land, which helps him better understand and meet the needs of other farmers in the region.
