Beatrice is 38 years old, married, with one 6-year-old who goes to school. She also takes care of 3 other children, who help her with her business. In 2003, Beatrice started with 5000 Francs, selling firewood and ice cream. Since then, she began to make cakes for sale and increased her sales by allowing customers to try her cake; she gained much more business in that way. Now, she would like to have some capital to increase the variety of foods she sells from her stall. In addition, she has the dream to use her increased profits to hire more young people to help with her activities because she wants to help reduce poverty and hunger in Brazzaville.
