Rawiya J. is a 36-year-old mother of two sons and one daughter. Rawiya's husband, Omar, is an employee of the Palestinian National Authority. Five years ago, Rawiya and Omar started a small computer shop in Gaza City. Omar worked in a computer maintenance shop during college, so they decided to open a computer maintenance shop.
Rawiya came to FATEN and took a $3,000 loan to purchase computer accessories, which will increase their benefits and bring in more customers. Rawiya manages the shop during the day, receiving customers, handing out fixed computers, selling accessories, and managing financial issues. Omar works in the shop in the afternoons.
In the photograph, Omar stands in the shop, because Rawiya doesn't want her picture published.
