Olga is a widow with two adult children. When her husband died working in a coal mine, she needed to generate income herself to raise her children. Olga moved to another town and started a small business selling clothing. She has been in this business now for eight years. The business is working well, she has a good location and many customers who keep returning.
Olga would like to purchase a second location for her business. She needs to borrow 10,000 UAH to do so. She is going to create a workplace for her daughter to allow her to generate income for her own family.
About HOPE Ukraine
HOPE International, a Christian faith-based non-profit organization, has been operating in Ukraine since 1997. HOPE Ukraine was the organization’s first international venture. In addition to its core microfinance activities, HOPE also supports an active children's ministry in Ukraine in the form of “Tomorrow Clubs,” after-school programs that teach children the gospel through games, skits and songs.
