Um N., 27, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia, an area known for its clay and ceramic products.
N. raises pigs and grinds rice grains for an income of about USD 2 per day. Her husband buys pigs and cows for resale, earning an income of USD 6 per day to help cover the family expenses.
N. is requesting a loan of USD 1,200 to purchase more pigs and cows to expand her husband’s business. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
N. appears in the photograph with her husband. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house.
