Lilia D. C. lives in the town of Sta. Josefa. She is 48 years old, married, has four school-aged children, and makes a living as a farmer, growing mostly rice.
In 2007, Lilia joined CEVI to gain access to financial services to help improve her life and ability to engage in business. She has successfully repaid seven previous loans from CEVI and is now applying for a new loan, her eighth, for 14,000 PHP to buy fertilizer. She plans to use the additional revenue generated by her farm to pay her children's tuition and provide for the increasing needs in her household.
