Josphine is a single woman with one son who attends school. She owns a motorbike and wants to buy another one to boost her motorbike transport business. She has been in the business for one year and previously was unemployed.
The challenge to her business is competition form other motorbike transport dealers. She rents her home and has electricity and water. She joined Yehu to improve her standard of living through access to loans. Her great expenses are house rent and school fees for her son. She hopes to open a boutique shop where she can sell clothes, shoes and cosmetics.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
