Segundo Luis

The partner is a member of the rural group San Francisco de Rumi Panba which is made up of 25 members in total, of whom the majority work in agriculture and raising cattle.

All his life Segundo has worked in agriculture, the principal source of income for his family. Among the crops that do well in the area are corn, wheat, barley, potatoes, and mellocos (a type of tuber). He sells the products in the markets of San Miguel and Guaranda, and in the community when the merchants arrive.

Segundo requests the loan to buy liquid fertilizers, to pay the workers, and for the transport of the produce. His goal is to obtain quality products that he can sell at reasonable prices. The challenges that he has are that when the climate is unfavorable it affects the production and the prices fall since the product is not of good quality. Segundo solicited a loan before that he invested in supplies. He says that in his free time he likes to be with his family and they go out to walk by the river.

Segundo Luis R. tiene 42 años, es casada, tiene 4 hijos , se llaman Segundo de 24 años, Nelson de 22 años, Luis de 19 años, Jaime de 13 años. Viven en el recinto San Francisco de Rumí pamba a una a una distancia de hora y media del Cantón San Miguel Provincia de Bolívar.
El socio es un miembro de la ventanilla rural “San Francisco de Rumí pamba”. La misma que esta conformada por 25 socios en total, los cuales la mayoría se dedican a la agricultura y pastoreo de ganado bovino.
Segundo trabaja en la agricultura toda su vida como fuente principal económica de su familia. Dentro de los cultivos que más sobresalen en la zona son: maíz, papas, trigo, cebada, mellocos. Vende los productos en los mercados de San Miguel y Guaranda, también vende en la comunidad cuando llegan los comerciantes.
Segundo solicita el crédito para comprar abonos líquidos, para pagar a los peones y para el transporte del producto. Su meta es obtener productos de calidad y comercializarlos a precios razonables. Los desafíos que tiene es que cuando el clima es desfavorable afecta a la producción y los precios caen, ya que el producto no es de buena calidad, Segundo si solicito antes un crédito invirtió en compra de insumos, Segundo manifiesta que en sus tiempos libres le gusta compartir con su familia y salen a pasear al rió.
