Suon
H. is 41 years old and a married man. His wife, who appears in the photo, is a local cultivator. This couple have five children all of whom attend the public local school. H. is currently able to generate a great income by selling chopped wood. He first purchases firewood at a reasonable price from people who live near the forest, then he sells the wood at retail prices thus gaining a profit.

Typically, H. hires his neighbor’s animal to transport the firewood to be sold. To help reduce his costs, he is applying for a loan to purchase a pair of oxen which he will use to pick up and deliver the chopped wood.
