Maria Antonia tiene mucho tiempo de trabajar con Fundación León 2000, pues siempre se ha preocupado por mejorar sus ingresos, pues ha sido muy importante para ella. Sus inicios se dieron hace mas de 30 años por lo que se dedica a la venta de tortillas, ya que tiene que buscar un medio de ingreso para su familia ella busca la forma de obtener un medio de vida ya que el arduo trabajo que realiza es admirable. Sueña con realizar mejoras para su vivienda, ya que siempre se ha preocupado por proporcionar mejores condiciones de vida de su familia. El financiamiento que solicita es para capital de trabajo que será invertido en la compra de maíz pues así le resulta mas favorable.

Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere. Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise. Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth.
