The "Activo D. Vitarte" village bank is maD. up of 8 members who work in retail sales and have worked with EDAPROSPO for the past 12 and a half years; it is undoubtedly the oldest group that has worked with our institution.

Constanza, the current president, is a very enterprising, enthusiastic woman who is a 60 year old widow with 4 children.

For the past 6 years, she has worked in a gas conversion business called Bubacar Service; the business has helped her to support her children. Due to her labors, she has increased the number of storefronts of her business; her dream is to continue to grow her business.

This loan will be used to buy inventory (tanks, replacement parts, etc.) and to diversify her products to meet her customers' demand. The group members are grateful for the loans to finance their businesses and they commit to making their payments on time.

La alcancía comunal “Activos D. Vitarte”, está conformada por 8 socias quienes se desempeñan en labores D. comercio minorista e informal, trabajan con EDAPROSPO- Prosperidad desD. hace 12 años y 6 meses, sin duda es el grupo más antiguo D. la institución.
Constanza, mujer emprendedora y entusiasta, actualmente asume el cargo D. presidenta, tiene 60 años, es viuda y tiene 4 hijos.
DesD. hace 6 años se dedica a la conversión D. gas llamado “BUBACAR SERVICE”, negocio que ha logrado poner con sus hijos. Con el esfuerzo D. su labor diaria ha logrado aumentar más locales para su negocio, su gran sueño es seguir creciendo como empresaria.
El reciente préstamo, Constanza lo destinará en la compra D. mercadería (tanques, repuestos para carros) y así diversificar sus productos para cubrir la demanda D. sus clientes. Agradecen el financiamiento para sus actividades comerciales y seguirán cumpliendo con sus pagos puntualmente.

EDAPROSPO seeks to use micro-credit to foster productive commercial activity for the sake of economic and social development within vulnerable urban and rural sectors traditionally neglected by commercial banks. By offering innovative products such as technical education loans and microfinance groups for young people, EDAPROSPO helps disadvantaged Peruvians lift themselves out of poverty.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
