Farahiya is 30 years old and married with one child. She runs a boutique in Nairobi to earn a living. She has been in the business for ten years and has two employees. She is in a group of young members of Faulu Kenya who are determined and focused on improving their businesses. They meet on a weekly basis to save their money. The group guarantee loans for each other.
She previously took out two loans of 90,000 Kenyan shillings from Faulu Kenya, which she used to expand her business and pay school fees for her child and she successfully repaid. Her greatest wish is to see her children through college and be professionals. She has requested a loan of kes 80,000 from Faulu Kenya to add stock of clothes for sale. She hopes to grow her business to a wholesale level and build her family a house in the future.
