Loise N. M. is twenty-two years old and married. Her husband is a builder and they have one child whom they wish to educate to the university level.
Her business is located near a main road in Kiganjo, Thika, and it is well known by the name "Mama joy shop". Loise owns this general store where she sells such items as sugar, flour, tea leaves, rice and others to the local people. She says the business is profitable and the only major challenge is debtors who delay payments, and she has to struggle to make them pay.
Loise is taking a loan of 20,000 KES to restock her general store and grow it to a wholesale business. In future, she plans to buy a plot and build a house for her family. She is hardworking, honest and patient.
