34-year-old Lucy is a mother of seven children and married to a hotelier. She is in the retail and green grocery business, selling fruits, vegetables and soft drinks, sugar, etc. to local residents at Sabaki area in Malindi. The ten-year-old business now earns her a monthly profit of Kshs 5,400.
Lucy was introduced to Kadet by an existing member and this is her second loan. This loan will enable her to renovate her shop with Kshs 2,000 while the rest will buy retail stock like flour and sugar, etc. The extra income from this loan will enable her to expand business and pay school fees for her children. A hard-working woman, she plans on saving for her children’s education and owning rental houses.
