Shehe K. is a 32 year old gentleman who is married to Fatuma. Together, they have four children between the ages of 18 months and 10 years.
Shehe is a farmer at Kipini in Malindi. His clients are brokers who source goods for larger markets. The farm produce business earns him a monthly profit of KES 4,500. He also operates a grocery shop on the side.
This is Shehe’s second loan and he has had no credit history with any other institution. With KES 7,000, this loan will help him buy seedlings, KES 8,000 wil pay for labor and KES 5,000 will be used for weeding. He plans to expand his farm acreage with the extra profit from this loan and hopes to buy his own plot of land to build rental houses.
