Hout N., 48, is married and resides with his wife and four children in Phnom Penh City, Cambodia, an area known for being the most populous city in Cambodia. He is a motor-taxi driver and security guard at a garment factory for an income of about USD 3 per day. His wife is a cleaner, earning an income of USD 2 per day to help cover the family expenses.
N. is requesting a loan of USD 1,000 to purchase a new motorbike because his motorbike is old and consumes a lot of gasoline. In the future, he would like to use any additional profit to support the children’s studies. This is his first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
KREDIT Ltd. is one of Kiva’s most established partners in Southeast Asia. The organization empowers the economically-active poor and small entrepreneurs by providing inclusive financial services.
