Daniel Lelei M. is a gentleman who is 35 years old. He is married to Priscilla M. and together, they have five beautiful children. They live in Sinonin in Eldoret, where their farm is. Daniel is a maize farmer who sells maize mostly to his neighbors soon after harvest. He has been farming for 10 years now and this has enabled him to feed, clothe and provide shelter for his family since his wife is a housewife.
Daniel was introduced to KADET by a KADET client and this will be his first loan with KADET, a Kiva partner. He is planning to use the entire loan on his farm by buying three bags of fertilizer worth 7,500 Kenyan shillings and maize seedlings worth Kshs 2,750. He will use the rest for plowing.
Daniel is also a mason in addition to farming. His dream is to improve in farming and also own more land so he can get more income to feed, clothe and provide shelter for his family.
