A loan of $2,125 helped a member to buy building materials and supplies.

La Familia Group's story

They have stood out in their community and all their neighbors support their activities be they raffles, sports events or children’s activities; they want to continue working together to continue to grow as a group and become stronger in the committee.

Besides working as a group, each member has her own independent commercial activity designed to obtain improved income for their families.

Many of the women already have their own businesses and others are about to open theirs. Such is the case of Herminia who works as a domestic employee in a private home and plans now to set up a food vending stand outside her home to become independent and be able to work at home with her children.

She is asking for funds to buy building materials and supplies to begin construction.

In this group: Herminia, Nimia, Aurelia, Maria Ester, Carmen , Isidra, Valentina, Eulogia, Wensealaa , Johana, Adelina, Ramona*, Aurelia, Graciela*, Gloria, Rossana, Dora*
