To make a living, Wilma owns and operates a business venture in the agriculture sector raising crops. The main source of income for the business comes from planting and harvesting rice for sale. Wilma has been engaged in her business for over ten years and earns approximately 40,000 PHP every cropping season.

In 2007, Wilma joined Kiva partner, ASKI, to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 28,000 PHP from ASKI. This loan was used to purchase fertilizers such as manure. Wilma is requesting a new loan of 29,000 PHP, which will be used to pay for services to increase crop yield. This loan will be her sixth from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to make improvements to her house.
