Gerlie T. is from the village of Salimpuno, Pana-on, Misamis Occidental. She is 33 years old. Gerlie is married and has four school-aged children. To make a living, Gerlie raises livestock. The main source of income for the business comes primarily from raising chickens for sale. Gerlie has been engaged in her business for over four years and earns approximately 500 PHP a month from these activities.
In 2006, Gerlie joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services. She wished to help improve her living situation and increase her ability to engage in business activities. Gerlie has successfully repaid a previous loan of 3,000 PHP from GDMPC. Gerlie is requesting a new loan of 3,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase chicken feed. This loan will be the third loan taken out by Gerlie from GDMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve and expand her business.
