Samwel Matunke
Samwel is a farmer and he has been doing this for the last twenty years. His farm is in a productive area and most of his customers are wholesalers from the capital city (Nairobi), who come to buy his produce and then sell to the city residents.

He learned about KADET through awareness raised by KADET staff in his area of residence. This will be his second loan which he is planning to use to buy a new species of potato called sangi which, research has proved, can do very well in his area and have more yields. He also wishes to buy ten sheep for fattening and to later sell to accumulate more capital for large scale farming.

He hopes to use the profit from this loan to acquire more land for farming to meet the demand for the farm produce. His hopes to become a large scale farmer and have his own farm machinery in future. Samwel is a hard-working man who is determined to achieve his set goals.
