Gifty A. is a women’s leader and a role model to most young women in her community. She lives together with her husband who is a food crop farmer and their children in a town close to Mampong.

Gifty is a petty trader who sells rice, tomatoes, vegetable oil, sugar, etc. to customers in her community. Operating her business for the past one and half years, Gifty has amassed good marketing experience and drawn many customers to her business.

Gifty is currently the leader of a trust bank group called 'Progressive', made up of thirteen members. The other members are also engaged in businesses such as food selling, hair dressing, grocery sales, used clothes sales etc. They are the major breadwinners of their respective families and are requesting a loan to support their businesses with the hope of raising more income to support their families. Their common dream is to be financially self-sustaining and to be able to support their children through quality education.
