Charif is a 58-year-old married man with two dependent children. When he graduated from university 38 years ago, he started giving private lessons to the children in his town and its surroundings. In addition, he's also talented and writes poems. He’s a very brilliant man who likes his job a lot and he feels that he is blessed to have such talent.
Today, Charif is asking to borrow $1,000 to be able to print his poems in a special poetry book in his name. It will present the collection of his written work over the years and he's very excited to publish it with the help of the loan.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
