Mrs. Fatimata S., born in 1960, is married and the mother of 10 children, the oldest of whom is 30 years old. She has been running a business for 14 years. She sells fabrics, perfumes, incense and “pagnes” (traditional fabrics for wrap clothing), like the ones on the photo, produced by her husband. She has a knack for this trade as she comes from a family known in the commerce. What particularly attracts her to this business is the relationships she is able to build. Thus, in order to produce “pagnes”, she is seeking a loan of 200,000 West African Francs, to purchase cloth, threads and necessary accessories.
