Ahmad is a 41-year-old married man and father of one child. From 14 years ago, he opened a linen shop in his town where he buys pajamas, blankets, pillows etc. He cooperates with his wife who works in the village municipality to satisfy the family expenses. He has already received several micro loans from Ameen to improve his business and the final loan has from Kiva to buy inventory in good prices. He’s a punctual client and he has consistently paid on-time.
Today, Ahmad is planning on taking another Kiva loan from Ameen of $ 2,000 so that he can continue to expand his business and purchase more merchandise.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
