Wafa is one of the oldest loyal borrower's of FATEN. She and her husband started taking loans 10 years ago to start their own workshop where they make wooden crosses and statues. Her husband shapes them and she paints, sticks pieces together and manages selling and dealing with customers.
Her husband started this business with his nephew. By the time he could save enough money to rent his own workshop and start making his own production, the workshop grew. Now Wafa is taking a loan from FATEN to buy olive tree wood since their work prospers in summer, which is the tourism season in the Bethlehem area.
Wafa stands in the workshop showing some of their products.
