She used to be an employee at the cannery in Dakar. When she retired she launched herself into commercial activities and the retailing of food products. She chose this line of business to help her husband deal with family expenditures. What attracted her most in this activity were the profit-making aspects.

She interrupted all activity for a year due to health problems. Now that she is recovered she is requesting a loan for 300,000 FCFA to restart her business and buy thioubs (dyed pieces of cotton fabric) and food products. The loan will enable her to improve her social situation.
