Nicole D. S. was born in 1981 and lives in Adogléta, a district in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. Nicole is single and the mother of two children, both in school. Nicole has a third child entrusted to her care. She lives alone with the children and is the sole provider of the household. In order to be able to send her children to school, Nicole sells food and, as a parallel activity, she also sells beverages out of her home. She buys her stock in Dantokpa, the international market of Benin. Nicole left school while still at the primary level, but she has been running this business for four years now. She already had a loan from ALIDé and duly reimbursed it. Wanting to respond to heavy customer demand, she is seeking a second loan from ALIDé in order to boost her business.

Nicole a déjà obtenu un crédit auprès D. ALIDé, crédit qui a été bien remboursé. Dans le souci D. répondre aux nombreuses attentes D. sa clientèle, Nicole sollicite un deuxième près chez ALIDé pour renforcer son commerce.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late.
