Rum M., 26, is married and resides with her husband and a child in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia, an area known for its plantations. She is a butcher and sells pork for an income of about USD 5 per day. Her husband operates his motorbike as a taxi driver, earning an income of USD 3.50 per day.
M. is requesting a loan of USD 1,200 to purchase a trailer to transport pigs purchased from local farmers. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to pay her children’s school fees.
