Felipe

Mr. Felipe M. lives with his wife and three children in their own home located in the Pasanqueri neighborhood on the western face of the city of La Paz. Felipe works for a small construction company in the city and his wife is a homemaker. The family was previously granted loans to prepare the lot and later build the 2-room house where they currently reside.

This loan will be used to add an additional two rooms to the home, which will be used as bedrooms. Felipe has been a client of IMPRO since 1999 and has been granted four loans, which he repaid in full and on time. This identifies him as an excellent client who qualifies to receive this loan.

About IMPRO

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
