Thirteen people who all live in Kampong Svay Leu village in Kandal province have made up this village bank loan. Mrs. Savry S. is the village bank president who has been selected by all the members. They will each use their loan for different purposes.

Mrs. Savry S. is a farmer who owns a small piece of land to cultivate rice on to support her family. She is a mother of a child who is too young to work or study. Her husband, Mr. Bory Koev, is a cigarette seller who can earn only a little money to buy some piglets for breeding to start a new business.
