Kamel is 28 years old, single, and lives with his two parents. He has been working as an electrician for seven years. He works on construction projects as well as undertaking freelance work offering domestic electrical services on customer request. Like the majority of Lebanese young men, Kamel tries to work hard to help his parents with the family income.
Today, Kamel is requesting to borrow $500 USD to purchase more tools needed for his business. This will enable him to take on more projects and earn a good income.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
