Tom is 40 and married and has three children who attend school. He has been running a cafeteria for two years. He also operates a retail shop to earn more income. He was previously employed as a salesman. He renovated his cafeteria with his first loan of KES 20,000 from Faulu Kenya, hence increasing his profits. He wants a loan of KES 50,000 to buy outside catering equipment. He hopes to open other chains of businesses in the country. He describes himself as ambitious, hardworking and focused.
