A loan of $400 helped purchase merchandise (grain, cosmetics, and groceries).

Seyli Carolina's story

Seyli Carolina M. B. is a young woman who works as an administrator for a crafts factory in the town of Condega. She is requesting a loan from CEPRODEL in order to buy merchandise such as groceries, clothing, and cosmetics to sell to the other employees at her workplace.

She began selling merchandise to her co-workers in small quantities, but demand was so good that her business kept growing. Seyli has had this business for approximately 1½ years. She engages in her work Monday through Friday from 8am until 4pm. It should be noted that this young woman has been employed six years at this company. She started working there after she graduated from high school.

Seyli M. is a single young woman with two school age children. They are in first grade and she covers their school expenses. Seyli lives in the home of her uncle with two of her sisters.

This is the seventh loan she has taken with CEPRODEL over a period of five years. The impact of these loans has been very positive and satisfactory since they have helped to grow her business. She has also purchased furniture for her home, thus improving the living conditions for herself and her family.
