Ghorra is a 39-year-old married woman and mother of two young children. In 2005, she opened a small clothing and accessories shop based in her home and began buying women's clothing. She has become well known with a large number of clients. She also began, as with most home-based businesses, to help her husband with the family income.
Today, Ghorra is requesting to borrow $ 1,000 to purchase more merchandise for her business and specifically to add to her selection of women’s clothes to help her increase her business productivity and income.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
