Zoila’s business is renting out automobiles for taxi service. Five years ago, her husband inherited some land, which was sold to purchase her first car. With earnings from her taxi services, and by saving money little by little, she was able to buy her second car.
Today, her taxi-rental business is sufficient to support her family, feel comfortable economically, and especially to pay for schooling for her two younger children.
Her next goal is to purchase a third automobile, and she is working and saving towards that goal.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
