Ali, a married man with two school-age children, owns a shop where he sells phones, gadgets and watches. He has twelve years of experience in the sales business. He opened his shop in 2009. He used to sell only watches but he developed his business from selling only watches to selling other items.
This is Ali’s second loan from Kiva and he's asking for $1,500 to buy additional watches, phones and gadgets for his shop. He's thankful for the growth of his business and the profit he is starting to make.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
