Gilberto
Gilberto is 50, married, and has two children. The children are grown and live separately.

He transports construction materials. He takes care of the business in his house; he makes the contracts there. He has a truck to go get the materials. He started this business 20 years ago. He started with small trips to the Eastern market to buy hardware products. It was when he got a van that he started to buy construction materials. Six years ago he had enough saved to be able to buy a truck. That is what he currently uses to transport the construction materials.

He is asking for this loan to buy various materials. The prices have currently risen, and everyday he needs more money in order to make deliveries to his customers. He needs to buy with cash, and his customers pay later.

A few years ago he was diagnosed with cancer. That kept him from working for a time. He had an operation, and then there was recuperation. Now he is in great condition. His dream is to have a well established center, like the competition has, for selling construction materials. His suppliers could bring the materials to him there.
