Mamadou
Mr. Mamadou S. has been active in the beef fattening business since he was young, owing to the influence of his parents who were in the same business. In parallel with his beef fattening activity, Mr. S., who is better known by the name Cheikh S., trades in oxen and he is also employed by SERAS, a company which provides fresh supplies of meat to local butchers on a daily basis. In order to strengthen his business, however, this 60-year old man has come to U-IMCEC (a Senegalese association of mutual savings and loans institutions) to apply for a second loan of 500,000 FCFA to buy two oxen, which he is going to put in his paddock to prepare for a possible sales campaign.

Finally Mr. Sox is very well known in his sector and he is of Fula (Peulh) origin; this ethnic group knows the beef fattening business better than anyone else in our society.
