Abdallah has been working as a farmer for the past 20 years. He's 48 years old and the father of 5 children, and he is the only provider for his family, thanks to his business. In 2000, he started to cultivate his land with all types of vegetables, according to the season. And he also owns 'vegetable tents' to facilitate cultivation.
Today, Abdallah is requesting to borrow US$ 1,000 to purchase farming tools and supplies such as seeds and fertilizers to be ready for the summer harvest and earn a good income.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
