The communal bank 'Los Alegres' is represented by Tatiana and is maD. up of 16 members, who all know and support each other, but also guarantee each other. Tatiana works from very early in the morning buying supplies to prepare lunch and later prepares dinner for her guests. Tatiana has her own home with a small dining room where she attends to her customers. She requires a loan to expand her business and to be able to buy tables, improving her earnings in this way and giving a better quality of life to her 3 children, who are her reason for moving forward. Her husband works for a softdrink delivery company and in his spare time he helps his wife with her restaurant. The rest of the members have their own businesses, some in their homes and some in the market, including empanada and drink sales, grocery sales, and some also work as employees (but they are the promoters). In reality competention exists everywhere but as a group they always try to support each other, especially in cosmetic sales, as they sell them door to door. The loan destined for these members is so they can stock their shops and buy more products and offer better services to their customers, so that their businesses have a future with better earnings and they have an improved economic situation. As it is a new group the bank has given them the capacity to be satisfied and content to be Agrocapital clients, but some of the members already possess experience thanks to similar loans from other entities.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
