Helen
Helen M. is a hard working mother of seven who has suffered from a broken home due to a divorce with her husband. With seven children to take care of, she became a member of GHAPE. Before receiving her first loan she was trained in business management, marketing techniques, and credit discipline. Since then, she has been able to invest and repay all her loans with which she raised money to buy good food for her household, pay school fees, buy medications, and increase her business.

Given a loan of $800, she plans to do gardening and rear pigs so she can sell them. Given the fact that pigs take long to fatten, she plans to cultivate and sell vegetables so she can have short term turn over and start repaying her loan. The money raised will be used to build a house for her family and to pay the children’s school fees.
She plans to pay her loan in 24 months. Her first loan repayment installment shall be made on the fourth month from the date of disbursement of the loan.
