A loan of $500 helped to buy farming supplies.

Eduardo's story

Eduardo L. V., 58, has been married to Lidia Martha Pinto de L. for over 25 years. The wife has a grocery store that she tends to daily in the town of Colomi; the husband is a farmer. He sells his products in Colomi's market. The farming suppies he needs for his tuber and vegetable crops are: organic hen dung manure and certified potato seed. These are available in farming supply stores.

Eduardo L. and his family live in the town of Colomi; his main activity is farming, which he does in the community of Liriuni. It is difficult for them to access bank loans. Cidre, however, is in Colomi and it is easier for them to ask for funds for the farming supplies they need for their crops.

Eduardo and Lidia's greatest dream is to have their three children become professionals. The oldest is 18, the next one is 16 and the youngest is 14 years old. He needs to increase his agricultural production for them in order to have sufficient income to cover educational expenses for his three children.
