Francisca V. is 57 years old and has been married for more than 30 years. She produces milk to sell to a company that markets a wide range of dairy products. Her husband helps her with the production of milk and also grows a variety of crops, such as bananas and hearts of palm, in the Chapare area.

Francisca lives in the Itocta area of Cochabamba. As her home is far from the center of the city it is difficult for her to go to banks in search of loans. Luckily, CIDRE took the initiative to go to her area and discovered that there were many small producers of raw milk in the area who were having problems because the price of feed for milk cows had increased in the last month due to poor weather conditions in Bolivia. Therefore, Francisca will use this loan to purchase feed for her dairy cows so that they do not suffer from a lack of food and their production will not be affected.

Francisca's dream is to continue producing milk as she has always done, to see her children and grandchildren have bright futures, and to one day have earned enough to be able to leave her children an inheritance that will help them in life, as conditions in her country are becoming more and more difficult.
