Séraphine

Séraphine has attended secondary school. To meet her needs, she sells cloth at the Sèkou market. Along with this business, she sells corn. She has been in operation for ten years and gets her supplies in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin.

She has already had an ALIDé loan, which she repaid. She's requesting another loan from ALIDé for bolstering her business and satisfying her customers further.

H. Séraphine est née vers 1979. Il y a 10 ans que Séraphine vit au quartier Dodji Dangban à Allada, ville dans le département de l’Atlantique. Mariée à TOKPO Lucien, un extracteur de vin de palme, Séraphine est mère de quatre enfants. Séraphine a trois autres enfants à sa charge. Tous les enfants sont scolarisés. Séraphine vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants. Le couple assure ensemble les charges de la famille. Séraphine a fréquenté l’école jusqu’au cours secondaire. Pour faire face à ses besoins, Séraphine vend des tissus au marché de Sèkou. Parallèlement à cette activité, Séraphine vend du maïs. Séraphine exerce cette activité depuis 10 ans et s’approvisionne à Cotonou, capitale économique du Bénin. Séraphine a déjà obtenu un crédit à ALIDé, crédit qu’elle a bien remboursé. Séraphine sollicite un autre crédit auprès de ALIDé pour renforcer ses activités et mieux satisfaire ses clients.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late.
