The Board of Directors for the “Nueva Jerusalen” (New Jerusalem) Communal Bank consists of the following members:

Sra. Guadalupe is the Treasurer. She is a long-time client and a single mother of six children, three of whom are dependents. She buys soybeans in bulk, which she later packages and sells at retail. Guadalupe has been in this business for five years. She has been living in a rented house for the past six years. Through her hard work, Guadalupe hopes to buy land so that she can leave an inheritance for her children. She will use the money from her loan to buy soybeans in bulk so that she can package them in large quantities.


Sra. Viviana serves as the Secretary. She is a new client who has been in a common law marriage for three years and has a daughter. Viviana has been selling cosmetics for the past two years. She has been living in a rented house for two years. With the help of her husband, she hopes to soon buy land so that they can build a house and establish a stable family. She will use the money from her loan to buy beauty products that are on sale that she can later sell at regular prices.


All of the members are responsible and dynamic people. Most of them support their families alone. This loan will be used to buy merchandise as well as increase their operating capital. They are grateful to Kiva and Emprender for trusting them by providing this loan.

Como Secretaria esta la Sra. Viviana cliente nueva, madre D. una niña conviviente hace 3 años, promotora D. productos cosméticos hace 2 años, vive en una casa alquilada desD. hace dos años atrás, con la ayuda D. esposo pronto compraran un lote D. terreno para construir su propia casa y formar una familia estable con el dinero del credito comprara productos D. belleza que estan en promosion para despues venderlos a un precio normal.

Todas las socias son personas responsables y dinamcas la mayoria mantienen solas el hogar, utilizaran el destino del credito para la compra D. mercaderia y asi poder incrementar su capital D. trabajo.
